WHEN RECRUITMENT FOR THE ROLE RESUMES, THE POST WILL BE OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS FOR A PERIOD OF AT LEAST TWO WEEKS.

SALARY: £18,000 – reviewed in 12 months. Statutory holiday and pension allowances.

40 (potentially flexible) hours per week – reduced to 35 hours in 12 months. Monday to Friday.

Humana Ltd. is a creative start-up based in the lovely old ‘C-View’ college campus on the outskirts of Doncaster town centre.

The site is next to Doncaster interchange, and so is immediately accessible by train, bus or car. On-site parking is available.

Operating across multiple brands, we’re here to offer business and residential customers across the UK a better choice for broadband via our new ‘broadbandmoneysaver.com‘ comparison service.

We’re also on hand to help a range of businesses build their own brand with a wide range of agency services offered by bemysocial.com.

As a Humana team member, you’ll be working to create fun, engaging social content for business customers, which will be created broadly in line with their specification. You’ll be required to create ad campaigns and properly researched posts across social channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter.

As part of the broader marketing work within this role, you may be required to communicate with external working partners to deliver aspects of a client contract. You would be expected to write or edit multiple articles per week on a range of subjects and draft proposals based on a gained knowledge of a client’s industry & operation.

Copy creation within an editorial calendar will be one of your core responsibilities.

You’ll constantly be supported in all areas, but you will be expected to become an authority on social ad targeting as you learn with us.

We’d like you to gain a cursory knowledge over time of SEO, WordPress, and basic code – mainly to ensure that you can hold your own in a relevant meetings and identify opportunities for us to add value.

You’ll also need to learn Adobe InDesign and be able to draft basic word and excel documents within MSOffice.

This is a road-map position that is expected to lead to a leadership role in the company within 36 months. We want someone who’s keen to work towards career progression and build on their strengths.

You’ll be included on calls with partners such as Facebook, and will have a number of experienced external industry contacts available to support you as you implement your ideas.

While this is an office-based role, you may be required to attend customer facing meetings on and off-site and will also be expected to create structured, consistent reports around the metrics that matter to our clients.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW WHEN APPLYING FOR THIS ROLE?

ACCESSIBILITY. Our office is on the ground floor, but is only partially accessible to physically disabled candidates due to a small set of steps. A lift will be installed later this year.

It’s important to understand that working within a start-up will be radically different to joining a company that has already been through initial growth phases.

You’ll be expected to cover several areas and ‘muck in’ until more resource becomes available. This is for someone who wants an exciting creative challenge and a chance to help build a uniquely valuable skill set for their future.

It is most certainly not an opportunity for someone who wants to settle into a steady role. The first 12 months will be particularly turbulent.
